Carol Ann is a licensed psychologist who received her doctorate in clinical psychology in 2010 from Bowling Green State University in Ohio with specialized training in Psychology of Religion and Spirituality. She completed her internship at the Hines VA in Chicago and her residency at the VA Maine Healthcare System in Augusta. Carol Ann enjoyed working for two years in a group practice in Waterville prior to opening her own private practice, River Tree Health Partners and joining the team at the Big White Barn in 2014. Carol Ann is passionate about psychotherapy and strives to establish a safe and nurturing atmosphere to explore and concretely address concerns with her clients. She utilizes a variety of evidence-based treatments, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and spiritually integrated psychotherapy. Carol Ann specializes in the treatment of trauma/post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, anger management, and post-deployment/service reintegration for military personnel and family members. She believes in the power of partnering with her clients to promote optimal levels of health and wellness.
